The PH scale
The PH scale is a scale that measures if a substance is more an acid or bass or neutral.The most acidic would be 0 on the PH scale which is sulphuric acid and the most alkaline being 14 which is sodium hydroxide or drain cleaner.Here is an example of a the PH scale.
acids
0=sulphuric acid
1=hydrochloric acid
4=ethnic acid (in vinegar)
5=bee sting
5=citric acid
6=carbonic acid (in fizzy drinks)
neutral
7=water
Bases
8=baking soda
8=soap
9=wasp sting
10=magnesium hydroxide (in indigestion tablets)
14=sodium hydroxide (drain cleaner)
